High Quality Steel Removable Bollards

Removable bollards offer a durable solution for managing mixed-use spaces that need temporary traffic control. Unlike traffic cones and plastic delineators that wear out over time, these posts keep their crisp appearance and provide flexibility for site reconfiguration. Ideal for access roads, driveways, loading docks, rail paths, sidewalks, and trails, they allow quick adjustments between pedestrian zones and vehicle access. Our removable bollards come in two diameters, 4 inches and 6 inches, and are available in stainless steel for a modern finish or powder-coated yellow for high visibility.

Improve Security with Durable Removable Bollards

Designed for repeated removal and installation, they are a practical option for projects that require adaptability.

Mounting:

Two-piece construction with a flush-mount sleeve for stable placement.

Locking:

Can be easily secured in place with external padlock.

Finishes:

Available in powder-coated yellow or stainless steel, both weather-resistant.

How to Install Removable Bollards

Start by setting the embedment sleeve in a concrete base. First, make a gravel layer, then pour concrete over it to form a strong foundation. For better support, use rebar stirrups and horizontal bars inside the concrete.
Once the sleeve is in place, open the lid, insert the bollard, connect the lid to the side of the post, and lock it with a padlock. To remove it, unlock the padlock, take out the bollard, and close the lid so it sits flat with the ground.

PRO TIP:
Pair Your Dome Top Bollards with Traffic Signs

When rerouting access roads, sidewalks, or rail paths, drivers and pedestrians can get confused—especially if the change is unexpected. To help avoid accidents and improve awareness, install traffic signs alongside your bollards. SONCO offers a full range of MUTCD-compliant signs to support any setup. Browse our inventory and get everything you need in one place.
