Type 1, 2, and 3 barricades are standardized traffic control devices used to alert and direct drivers away from hazards or work zones on roads and highways. Our barricades are equipped with reflective sheeting to enhance visibility, especially at night or in low-light conditions. 

  

  

  

Traffic Control Barricades Features 

  

Barricade types differ by their number of rails. Type I barricades are small with one rail, for short-term closures. Type II are larger with two rails, for longer-term closures. Type III are the largest with three rails, ideal for highways, offering maximum visibility and protection.

Barricade Types 1, 2 and 3 

  

Type I, II and III traffic barricades may appear similar, but they are designed for varying situations. Barricade types 1, 2 and 3 are designated based on size, shape and number of rails. 

  

  

Type 1: Single reflective panel with alternating orange and white stripes, recommended for daytime use, suitable for sidewalks and country roads. 

  

  

Type 2: Two retroreflective rails with alternating orange and white stripes, highly visible in low-light conditions, ideal for sidewalks and.

  

  

Type 3: Up to 8 feet long, two vertical posts with three reflective panels for maximum visibility, designed to stop traffic. 

  

  

  

Prevent Your Barricade from Falling 

Some Type I Plastic Barricades and Type II barricades, are molded hollow, which means you can fill them up with sand or water to weigh them down, guaranteeing stability even in high wind environments. 

When empty, these barricades are lightweight, stackable, and easy to deploy. You can also repurpose this barricade as a sign stand by attaching a sign sleeve to it!
